Paradise Birding owner Steve Shunk will be leading walks and talks during the Vallarta International Birding Festival again in 2014. The Banderas Bay Region is home to over 300 species of different birds and will be the site for the Festival, which is hosted by the Vallarta Bird Conservancy and will kick off at the Vallarta Botanical Gardens.
Four action packed days of birding and natures walks with expert guides in unique habitats will be sure to satisfy even the most advanced birders, and lectures from local and international authorities on many interesting bird and birding related topics will round out the festival.
Birding in Florida is a fairly casual experience, with the region’s many well-developed trails and other visitor facilities, very flat terrain, and relatively easy viewing conditions, especially of the hordes of waterbirds. Highlights include Everglades National Park, Island-hopping to Key West, then Dry Tortugas National Park.
